Capers are flower buds and the caperberries are the fruit containing the seed, the two main products of a creeping shrub that is distributed throughout the Mediterranean arc.
From a culinary point of view, the capers are excellent as appetizer and decorating dishes of appetizers. In salads are also decorative ( the large ones) if cut into slices.
To switch in company with a fresh white Rueda, a fino sherry, a white Jumilla (Murcia is the land of caperberries and capers). Cool beer is also a good companion for this pickle. However, its acidity does not accompany either with red wines, as happens with other pickles.
